Ever since I first started playing softball, it has been a dream of mine to play at the collegiate level. Being a part of the Force has helped me become a better player and person, and has helped me achieve this goal. Without the support from my amazing coaches, teammates, and family I wouldn't have been able to make this dream a reality. Committing to St. Catherine University was an easy decision because it felt like home right away. I can't wait to be a part of their fantastic softball program and their incredible physical therapy program. Thank you to everyone who has helped me along this journey!
Taylor Brunn-University of Minnesota-Morris
Sophie Culhane- St. Cloud State
Ever since I first picked up a bat and a glove, I knew I wanted to play college softball. Playing for the Force, and being around all of the amazing coaches and teammates, has allowed me to realize my potential and become a better person on and off the field. Because of this, it was an easy decision to commit to play college softball at St. Cloud State University. The second I stepped on campus, it felt right. The elite softball team, prestigious engineering program, and the campus life make me feel at home while I was 50 miles away. I can’t thank everyone enough who has helped as I am able to live out my dream to play college softball.
Thanks,
-Sophie Culhane
Saren Croker-Creigton University
Softball has been a big part of my life since I was a little girl. I have a lot to be thankful for as it has provided me with so much...memories, skill development, opportunities, personal growth on and off the field and mostly it has given me my Force family. It’s program of all women who consistently inspire and shape young girls into strong women who will all make their marks on the world. I would not be who am I today without this program and these women. I couldn’t be more excited to step into the next chapter of my life at Creighton University and I have the Force to thank for helping me get there. Thanks for everything through this amazing journey!
Ella Eibensteiner-University of Minnesota-Morris
Allegra Larson-UW- Stout
Kenzie Lohse-UW-Stout
Jessica Miller-University of Mary Hardin-Baylor
Alyssa Montero-St. Catherine's University
Chloe Palmer-Queens University of Charlotte
I have been playing softball for as long as I can remember and the more I played the more I realized that I wanted to continue to play softball in college. With this dream in mind, coming to the Force was the best decision I have ever made. Whenever I am with the coaches or other players, I always feel at my best. I know that every coach here has my best interest at heart. Thank you to every coach at Force for pushing me to be better at all times and for helping me to reach my goal. I couldn’t be more excited to play for Queens University next season, and I know it wouldn’t be possible without everything I have learned and will take away from Force.
Rylie Perkins-Bethel University
I have been playing softball for as long as I can remember and it’s been a key part of my life. It has always been a way for me to test my limits and grow as a person. I knew very quickly that I wanted to play ball at a collegiate level so making the decision to play for the Force was an easy one. The coaches have allowed me to fail forward and learn from my mistakes. They have taught me so much about not only softball but about being a good person. I’m so excited to start a new chapter in my life Bethel University! I could not have done it without the amazing support from my coaches, family and friends!
Emily Price-St. Catherine's University
Hayley Robinson-Augsburg University
Annalise Scamehorn-Concordia University
Autumn Theis-University of Minnesota-Morris
I started playing softball at a young age, after watching my sister play. After attending some of the MFA clinics, along with pitching and hitting lessons, I knew I wanted to be part of the MN Force. The incredible coaching staff helped me to build my softball skills but more importantly, my confidence in myself. Selecting to attend and play for the U of M, Morris was easy for me, they have a great elementary education program and the campus size is a great fit for me. To top it off, the coaches and players at Morris made me feel at home. I want to thank all of my MN Force coaches, especially Meggan for helping me develop my almighty Change-Up. Finally, a big thank you to Coach B and Coach S for always believing in me and giving me a chance.
Sidney Zavoral-Eastern Illinois University
“It starts with a dream. Add faith, and it becomes a belief. Add action, and it becomes a part of life. Add perseverance, and it becomes a goal in sight. Add patience and time, and it ends with a dream come true.” -Doe Zantamata
My dream of playing collegiate softball started at the young age of 7 when I stepped on the ball field and I fell in love with everything softball had to offer. I am so thankful for everything I learned through different programs and coaches but I am especially thankful for the Force Family. Being in the Force program was the best 2 years of my softball career, I had the privilege to be coached by my Force Coaches. Not only have these coaches improved my physical game but they have also improved my mental game as well. They have helped me become the person I am today. This program cares about us as athletes, and PEOPLE and because of this I am going to the college of my dreams Eastern Illinois University. The decision to commit to Eastern Illinois was so easy it felt like home away from home, and when I was on campus it felt RIGHT. Thanks for everything, can’t wait to fulfill my lifelong dream.

Force Coaches -
On the last day of our spring trip one of the seniors on my Mac team shared an incredible compliment that I wanted to pass along to you. The senior asked me if I knew the coach of the program that Kennedy and Molly came from. My response was that of course I know the coaches and that is where my daughter plays because it is the best program in MN. ;-)
When I asked why she was inquiring she shared these thoughts/insights:
Kennedy and Molly are the best teammates - they volunteer to do things that others don't want to do like carry equipment and catch in bullpens (we don't have enough catchers). During the week they even caught for a relief pitcher to warm-up when they themselves were slated to start the game in the infield or outfield forgoing parts of their own warm-up. Their attitudes are impeccable and they are a pleasure to play with. It is clear that they are well trained athletes and they are also fierce competitors. As first-years on the team they are both already talented leaders.
After asking the senior if I could pass along the compliment, I asked her to forward it to me in her words so it was written exactly from her perspective. The paragraph above is from the text she sent.
As both a parent of one of your current athletes and as a coach working with student-athletes that came from the Force Family I want to express gratitude for all that you do. Softball is not just about hitting, fielding, and pitching, it's all the stuff in between that makes these girls/young women wonderful people. Being a skilled, fierce competitor is a very high compliment that takes a strong commitment, but being a leader and an amazing teammate at the same time is really the ultimate goal.
Happy Monday to you all! Keep changing lives in all the ways you do every day!
Thank you -
Jody
The Minnesota Fastpitch Academy (MFA) was launched in the summer of 2010 as an avenue for softball players to advance their game at every level. Our purpose is and still remains the same- build better female athletes and leaders by further expanding the scope and opportunity for social and athletic development in young women throughout the Midwest. The MFA sees an opportunity to play a significant role in the ongoing process of building momentum and enthusiasm for women's softball, while fostering interest and
participation in Minnesota youth programs at all levels.
The Minnesota Fastpitch Academy-Force is a byproduct of that vision. With four 14U, five 16U, and two 18U - Force Teams competing in the 2018 season, we are excited to offer year round training to the athletes in our program. Our teams are made up of players who are dedicated and committed to taking their game to the next level. MFA-Force realizes that the players in our program all have different goals and aspirations and we want to provide every opportunity for them to successfully accomplish what they set out to do. MFA-Force believes in the philosophy that if a player is interested in growing their game and increasing their softball IQ, then our organization is the right place to be.
Minnesota Fastpitch Academy-Force head coaches are all former collegiate softball players or coaches who have competed against some of the best players in the nation. MFA-Force believes that this experience helps us relate to our players in a special and unique way because we have been through the ranks and have had great experiences along the way.
Everyone in our organization is excited to help shape the future of our MFA-Force athletes and help them elevate their game.
We Are…Force!!
From Anthony Faymoville, parent of Sofia and Jenna
I wanted to share a small bit of amusing history I just found out the night before last that you may find a little amusing.
My brother texted me the other night and was asking if I had any history on the Faymoville name. He is looking into family crests and what not for a tattoo cover up on his back.
So I did a little simple research and found a bit of info you might find amusing.
How would it be amusing to the ladies who run the club that my girls play for you might ask?
It just happens that my Great Great grandfather on my dad’s side is a Nicholas Faymoville. He then married a Nellie Perry who is Charles Perry’s daughter.
There is a park named after Charles Perry, yes Perry park. It was the family farm before they moved to SE Blaine in the late 1880’s.
Little did Sofia and Jenna know (I had no idea) that they were playing on old family property when trying out and or practicing with MN Force.
They say they were destined to play for Force.
Definitely is a small world!
